Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

This animated science fiction film follows the Green Lantern Corps as they prepare for a confrontation with Krona, an ancient foe of the Guardians of the Universe. To ready a new recruit named Arisia for the fight, Hal Jordan and other members of the Corps, including Sinestro and Kilowog, share six interconnected stories. These tales explore the mythology of their universe, ranging from the history of the first Lantern to the darkest moments the Corps has faced.

The movie was co-directed by Lauren Montgomery, Jay Oliva, and Christopher Berkeley. For Montgomery, it followed six previous projects, including Green Lantern: First Flight and Batman: Year One. Oliva directed this as the fourth of thirteen films in his career, positioned between Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1. Berkeley directed this as his second film, following Scooby-Doo! and the Samurai Sword. The screenplay was written by Alan Burnett, Dave Gibbons, and Marc Guggenheim.

The voice cast features Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan, Jason Isaacs as Sinestro, Elisabeth Moss as Arisia, Henry Rollins as Kilowog, and Arnold Vosloo as Abin Sur. Produced by DC Entertainment, DC Comics, Warner Bros. Animation, and Warner Premiere on a budget of 4 million USD, the film received a consistent reception from viewers, earning a 6.7/10 rating on IMDb from 16,000 votes and a 6.7/10 rating on TMDB from 568 votes.
