Margrete: Queen of the North

Set in 1402, this historical drama follows Queen Margrete I, who has established the Kalmar Union to unite the kingdoms of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. While she governs the region through her adopted son, Erik, a conspiracy emerges that threatens the stability of her political achievement. Margrete must navigate this internal turmoil and external pressure to protect her life's work.

Directed by Charlotte Sieling, this production was the first of two films she directed, followed by Way Home in 2024. The screenplay was written by Sieling alongside Maya Ilsøe and Jesper Fink.
