Rams

In a remote part of Western Australia, two farming brothers, Colin and Les, have been feuding for decades while working the same land. Their family has bred sheep for generations, and the animals have long been a source of local pride. When Les's prize ram falls ill with a rare and dangerous disease, authorities respond by ordering the destruction of every sheep in the valley. The brothers find themselves forced to cooperate if they want to protect their herds, their family and their community from ruin, though neither is inclined to give ground easily.

Jeremy Sims directs from a screenplay by Jules Duncan, with Sam Neill and Michael Caton playing Colin and Les. Miranda Richardson, Wayne Blair, Asher Keddie and Leon Ford appear in supporting roles. The Australian production, handled by WBMC and Village Roadshow Entertainment, is a comedy-drama that runs just under two hours.

Rams was released in October 2020 and took in about 4 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.5 from roughly 4,200 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from around 89 votes. The two audience scores are close to each other, indicating a generally moderate reception from viewers.
