Emperor

Based on the life of Shields Green, this historical drama follows a man who escapes slavery in South Carolina. After fleeing his owners and bounty hunters to seek freedom for his family, he travels north. During his journey, he meets Frederick Douglass and John Brown, eventually joining a resistance movement to fight against slavery in the United States.

Mark Amin directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Pat Charles. The cast features Dayo Okeniyi in the lead role as Shields Green, alongside Bruce Dern, James Cromwell, Kat Graham, Ben Robson, and Naturi Naughton. The production was handled by Sobini Films and Hudlin Entertainment with a credited crew of 140 people.
