Neptune Frost

Set in the highlands of Burundi, the story follows a group of former coltan miners who establish an anti-colonialist hacker collective. Operating from a camp located within a surreal electronic waste dump, they seek to overthrow an authoritarian government that exploits the local population and the region's natural resources. The plot centers on the meeting of an intersex runaway and an escaped miner, whose bond creates anomalies within a divine cosmic circuit.

This science fiction musical drama was co-directed by Saul Williams and Anisia Uzeyman, with Williams also writing the screenplay. The production was a collaboration between Rwanda, France, and the United States, involving production companies such as Carte Blanche and Redwire Pictures. The cast features Cheryl Isheja as Neptune and Bertrand Ninteretse as Matalusa, alongside Eliane Umuhire, Elvis Ngabo, Rebecca Mucyo, and Trésor Niyongabo.
