Hustle

Stanley Sugerman is a basketball scout whose career has stalled, reduced to long stretches on the road and little say in the decisions that matter back home. While scouting abroad, he comes across Bo Cruz, a gifted player from Spain whose difficult past has kept him from being noticed. Convinced Bo has what it takes to play in the NBA, Stanley brings him to the United States without getting approval from his team, putting both of them in a position where they have to prove they belong.

Adam Sandler plays Stanley, with Queen Latifah as his wife Teresa, Juancho Hernangómez as Bo Cruz, and Ben Foster and Anthony Edwards among the supporting cast. The film was directed by Jeremiah Zagar, whose previous feature was the 2014 documentary Captivated: The Trials of Pamela Smart. Will Fetters and Taylor Materne wrote the screenplay, and Sandler produced alongside Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum.
