Jesus Revolution

Jesus Revolution is set in Southern California during the late 1960s and 1970s, following Greg Laurie, a restless teenager raised by his struggling mother, Charlene. Searching for meaning amid the counterculture, Greg encounters Lonnie Frisbee, a charismatic street preacher, and Chuck Smith, a local pastor who opens his dwindling church to the young drifters gathering along the coast. Their meeting gives rise to a movement that draws thousands of searching young people into what became known as the Jesus Revolution. The film dramatizes that spiritual awakening and the unlikely partnership at its center.

Jon Erwin directed the film, his seventh directorial credit following American Underdog, with Brent McCorkle sharing directing duties. Jon Gunn and Jon Erwin wrote the screenplay, and Kevin Downes, Jon Erwin and Andrew Erwin produced it for Lionsgate, Kingdom Story Company and A Walsh Works Production. Kelsey Grammer plays Chuck Smith, Jonathan Roumie plays Lonnie Frisbee and Joel Courtney plays Greg Laurie, with Anna Grace Barlow, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Jackson Robert Scott also appearing. The film runs two hours.
