Songbird

Set in a future Los Angeles during a pandemic lockdown, this story follows Nico, a delivery driver with a rare immunity to a mutating virus. While the general population faces strict isolation and the threat of forced quarantine camps, Nico is able to move freely through the city. When his partner, Sara, is suspected of being infected, Nico must fight against martial law, violent vigilantes, and an influential family to save her from being taken away.

The film was directed by Adam Mason, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Boyes. In Mason's directing career, this project follows The Devil's Chair and precedes Baby Blue and Amerigo: The Search for the American Dream. The cast features K.J. Apa and Sofia Carson in the lead roles, alongside Craig Robinson, Bradley Whitford, and Peter Stormare.

Produced by Michael Bay, Adam Goodman, and Andrew Sugerman, the movie was made with a budget of 3 million USD. Audience reception is mixed, with a rating of 4.8/10 on IMDb based on 13,000 votes and 6.2/10 on TMDB from 800 votes. Film critics gave the movie a lower score of 3.5/10 based on 81 reviews.
