Hard Kill

Hard Kill is an action thriller about a billionaire technology executive, Donovan Chalmers, whose work is valuable enough that he relies on hired security to keep it out of the wrong hands. A terrorist group abducts his daughter in order to force access to what his company has developed, and the mercenary team charged with protecting him becomes the last line of defense.

The film was directed by Matt Eskandari, arriving between Trauma Center and Survive the Night in a run of features that also includes The Gauntlet and 12 Feet Deep. Chris LaMont and Joe Russo wrote the screenplay, and George Furla, Randall Emmett and Mark Stewart produced. Bruce Willis plays Chalmers, with Jesse Metcalfe as the mercenary leader Miller. The cast also includes Natalie Eva Marie, Lala Kent, Texas Battle and Swen Temmel, among 22 credited performers backed by 58 credited crew members.

Released in September 2020, the film runs 98 minutes and was produced in the United States by BondIt Media Capital, Buffalo 8 Productions, River Bay Films and EFO Films. Reception has been weak across the board. A critics' rating of 2.7 out of 10 from 20 reviews is lower than the audience scores of 4.9 on TMDB and 3.1 on IMDb, where roughly 20,000 votes place it among the more widely seen but poorly regarded titles of its year.
