Ruben and Carlos are cellmates in a minimum-security prison. As Ruben attempts to navigate the daily routines and the social hierarchy of the facility, Carlos serves as his guide and eventually becomes his lover. The two men develop an emotional bond that is difficult for them to articulate. After one man is released from prison before the other, the nature of their relationship is questioned, leaving uncertainty about whether their connection was genuine or a result of isolation.

This crime drama and romance was written, produced, and directed by Jon García. It is the third film in his directorial chronology, following Tandem Hearts and Sex Weather.
