The Little Engine That Could

This animated family film follows a small blue engine determined to overcome obstacles and complete a difficult journey. The plot involves transporting toys and treats across a mountain, a task that more experienced locomotives are afraid to attempt. In one version of the story, the engine must also help a young boy return from a dream world to reality while facing a threat from a nightmare train.

Directed by Elliot M. Bour, the movie was released in 2011. It is the fourth film directed by Bour, following Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo, Kronk's New Groove, and Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie, and preceding Pixie Hollow Bake Off. The screenplay was written by David Koepp, Bob Hilgenberg, and Rob Muir. The voice cast includes Alyson Stoner as the lead engine, alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Warburton, Jeff Bennett, Jodi Benson, and Corbin Bleu.

The movie received a moderate reception from audiences. It holds a rating of 5.6/10 on IMDb based on 479 votes and a slightly higher rating of 6.2/10 on TMDB from 17 votes.
