Born to Race

Danny Krueger is a rebellious teenager with a passion for illegal street racing. After a crash during an unauthorized event, he is sent to live in a small town with his estranged father, a former NASCAR driver. While struggling to fit into his new environment, Danny decides to enter the NHRA High School Drags. To defeat a local rival and pursue a professional racing career, he must seek guidance and support from his father.

This 2011 action film was directed by Alex Ranarivelo, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Steve Sarno. It marks the first of several films in Ranarivelo's career, followed by Born to Race: Fast Track in 2014 and American Wrestler: The Wizard in 2017. The movie stars Joseph Cross as the lead character, alongside John Pyper-Ferguson, Brando Eaton, Nicole Badaan, Sherry Stringfield, and Sara Swain. Produced by American Cinema International and ESX Productions, the film features a credited cast of 23 people.
