A Monster in Paris
Short description
Set in Paris in 1910, this story follows a shy projectionist named Emile and an inventor named Raoul. The two men search for a creature that has caused panic throughout the city. Along their journey, they team up with Lucille, a cabaret performer, an odd scientist, and a monkey. They eventually discover that the monster is actually a harmless, oversized flea. The group then works together to protect the gentle creature from a determined police chief who wants to capture it.

Parisians gauge the severity of floods by the Zouave statue (near the Alma Bridge): if the water rises to its knees, the flood is moderately dangerous; if it rises to its thighs, it is a serious danger. In 1910, the water reached the Zouave's neck level (8.62 meters). This is considered to be the most serious flood in the history of Paris.
