Short description

Paris, 1910. Emile, a shy movie projectionist, and Raoul, a colourful inventor, find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens. They join forces with Lucille, the big-hearted star of the Bird of Paradise cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his irascible monkey to save the monster, who turns out to be an oversized but harmless flea, from the city's ruthlessly ambitious police chief.

What's left behind the scenes

In 1910, Paris actually experienced a flood that affected dozens of people and caused serious material damage to the city (equivalent to 2 million euros in today's money). Parisians gauge the severity of floods by the Zouave statue (near the Alma Bridge): if the water rises to its knees, the flood is moderately dangerous; if it rises to its thighs, it is a serious danger. In 1910, the water reached the Zouave's neck level (8.62 meters). This is considered to be the most serious flood in the history of Paris.
