Treasure Buddies

Treasure Buddies follows the five golden retriever puppies of the Buddies series on a trip to Egypt. Alongside new companions, among them a young camel, an archaeologist dog and a mischievous monkey, the pups set out to explore ancient tombs and ruins. Their goal is a long-lost collar once owned by a feline queen, and a scheming cat is after the same prize. The dogs must outwit their rival, work through puzzles and avoid the traps that guard the treasure.

The film is a family adventure directed by Robert Vince, who wrote the screenplay with Anna McRoberts; both also produced. It is the eleventh of the fifteen films Vince has directed in chronological order, arriving between Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups and Super Buddies. The voice cast includes Skyler Gisondo, Charles Henry Wyson, Ty Panitz, Genevieve Hannelius and Tucker Albrizzi as the puppies, with Richard Riehle in a live-action role; twenty-two cast members are credited in total.

Released in early 2012, the film runs 93 minutes and was made in Canada and the United States. Audience responses split by platform: on IMDb it holds a rating of 4.4 from roughly 2,400 votes, while on TMDB it has 6.1 from about 127 votes, a warmer but much smaller sample.
