A Princess for Christmas

After the death of her sister and brother-in-law, Jules Daly takes on the care of her young niece and nephew, Maddie and Milo. Money is tight and her job situation is uncertain, so an invitation to spend Christmas at a European castle, sent by the children's grandfather, Edward, Duke of Castlebury, comes at a difficult moment. Jules accepts it largely for the sake of the children, even though she expects to feel out of place among aristocracy as an ordinary American.

The film follows the Christmas visit and a romance that develops between Jules and Ashton, the prince of Castlebury, which the duke opposes. Katie McGrath plays Jules, Sam Heughan plays Ashton, Miles Richardson plays the butler Paisley Winterbottom, and Charlotte Salt plays Lady Arabella Marchand du Belmont, with Travis Turner and Leilah de Meza as the children. Michael Damian directed from a screenplay he wrote with Janeen Damian, and both also produced the Italy and United States co-production. It was his third feature, after Hot Tamale and Flicka 2.

The film runs 91 minutes and combines comedy, drama, family and romance as a television movie. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from around 9,700 votes, while on TMDB the score is 7 out of 10 from roughly 414 votes. The audience scores from both sources are close, indicating a generally favourable response from viewers.
