Bob Marley: One Love

Bob Marley: One Love follows the Jamaican singer-songwriter from his rise out of difficult beginnings to worldwide fame as a reggae artist. The story centres on the period around the making of the album Exodus in 1977, recorded with the Wailers shortly after Marley survived an attempt on his life in Jamaica and relocated to England. The film also portrays his relationship with his wife Rita and his collaboration with figures such as producer Chris Blackwell. Kingsley Ben-Adir plays Marley, with Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley and James Norton as Blackwell.

Reinaldo Marcus Green directed, working from a screenplay by Frank E. Flowers, Terence Winter and Zach Baylin. The film sits third in Green's filmography, after Joe Bell and King Richard and before The Punisher: One Last Kill. Producers included Robert Teitel alongside Ziggy Marley and Rita Marley, and the production was made in association with Tuff Gong Pictures. It runs 104 minutes.

Released in February 2024, the film cost about 70 million dollars and took roughly 179 million dollars worldwide, a return well above its budget. Audience responses were moderate: on IMDb it holds 6.2 out of 10 from around 39,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.6 out of 10 from about 1,020 votes. A critics' rating of 5.4 out of 10 from 199 reviews places it below the audience scores.
