The Lookout

Chris Pratt was a promising high school athlete until a car crash left him with lasting neurological damage. Now he struggles with memory and control, writing notes to get through each day, and works as a janitor at a bank with help from his blind roommate Lewis. A former school acquaintance, Gary Spargo, draws him into a plan to rob the bank, and Chris finds himself caught between the group using him and what he can still do about it.

The Lookout is the 2007 crime drama directed by Scott Frank, who also wrote the screenplay; it is the first of the two films he has directed, ahead of A Walk Among the Tombstones. Joseph Gordon-Levitt leads as Chris, with Jeff Daniels as Lewis, Matthew Goode as Gary, and supporting roles from Isla Fisher, Carla Gugino and Bruce McGill among a credited cast of 37. Walter F. Parkes, Roger Birnbaum and Gary Barber produced.
