Celeste & Jesse Forever

Celeste and Jesse met as teenagers, married young and remain so close that their friends still treat them as a couple. The difference is that they have separated and are trying to divorce while staying in each other's lives. Celeste runs her own media consulting company and is working on a novel; Jesse is out of work and in no hurry to find direction. She is the one pushing for the split, convinced they can support each other as friends, while he goes along with it even though he is not over her. As both begin seeing other people, the arrangement proves harder to maintain than either expected.

Celeste & Jesse Forever was released in 2012 and runs 91 minutes. It is the first feature directed by Lee Toland Krieger in the order of his filmography, followed by The Age of Adaline. Rashida Jones plays Celeste and Andy Samberg plays Jesse; the two also wrote the screenplay with Will McCormack.
