Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

Rocky Randhawa is a loud, gym-obsessed Punjabi man from a wealthy business family, while Rani Chatterji is a Bengali journalist raised in a more intellectual household. Despite coming from very different worlds, the two fall in love and want to marry. Before committing, they decide to spend time living with each other's families so they can understand their respective cultures and find out whether their relationship can withstand the differences between them.

The film is a romantic comedy-drama directed by Karan Johar, who wrote the screenplay with Shashank Khaitan, Ishita Moitra and Sumit Roy. It stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, with Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Aamir Bashir among the supporting cast. It was released in July 2023 and runs 178 minutes. It is the ninth film Johar directed, following Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student Of The Year, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Lust Stories and Ghost Stories.

The film took about 6 million dollars worldwide, a modest return for an Indian production of this scale. On IMDb it holds 6.5 out of 10 from around 51,000 votes, while its TMDB rating is 6.2 from a much smaller number of votes. A critics' rating of 6.7 from 23 reviews puts it slightly above the audience scores.
