Set in Paris in 2052, this comedy drama follows an 80-year-old woman named Julia. On her birthday, she looks back at her life starting from age 17, considering how small accidents or different choices could have altered her destiny. She examines various turning points and coincidences, such as forgetting a passport or picking a different line at a store, to determine if her path was predetermined or the result of random chance.

The film was directed by Olivier Treiner, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Camille Moreau. Lou de Laâge plays the lead role of Julia in multiple versions of her life, appearing alongside Raphaël Personnaz, Grégory Gadebois, Denis Podalydès, Esther Garrel, and Dylan Raffin.
