Bohachi Bushido: Code of the Forgotten Eight

A nihilistic ronin with a desire for death finds himself entangled with the Bohachi clan, a group that controls prostitution in the Yoshiwara district. In exchange for protection from the authorities, the swordsman agrees to eliminate the clan's competitors. Supported by women who are both courtesans and killers, he works to dismantle rival brothels, only to discover he is being manipulated by the organization.

Directed by Teruo Ishii, this action film was released in 1973. It follows his work on Shogun's Joy of Torture and precedes Female Yakuza Tale in his career. The movie was produced by the Toei Company and written by Susumu Saji.
