Biónica

Biónica is an Argentinian science fiction film about a quadriplegic woman named Emma who seeks to regain her mobility through an unconventional medical procedure. She hires the Bionic Clinic, led by Dr. Wuntz, to undergo a state-authorized treatment that involves separating her head from her body to allow for total physical recovery and the installation of purchased special talents. The process is jeopardized when Dr. Wuntz decides to push the boundaries of the treatment further than intended.

The film was directed by Sebastián Perillo, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Gabriel Medina and Javier Rao. The main cast features Julia Martínez Rubio as Emma Rodríguez Alba and Fabián Arenillas as Dr. Rodolfo Wuntz, supported by Luciana Grasso, Santiago Pedrero, Gervasio Usaj, and Gabriel Dopchiz. The production was a collaborative effort between Benuca Films, Rispo Films, Más Cine, and the Swiss company KAF. Released on April 24, 2025, the movie has a runtime of 82 minutes.
