Viking

The Viking Society recruits five volunteers to assist with the first manned journey to Mars. These individuals were selected because their psychological profiles mirror those of the five astronauts actually traveling to the planet. Operating as a secondary team of alter egos, the group remains on Earth in a confined setting to experience the mission in parallel with the space travelers.

Directed by Stéphane Lafleur, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Eric K. Boulianne, this Canadian production blends elements of science fiction, fantasy, comedy, and drama. The ensemble cast features Steve Laplante, Larissa Corriveau, Fabiola N. Aladin, Hamza Haq, Denis Houle, and Marie Brassard. The film was produced by micro_scope and has a runtime of 104 minutes.

Since its release in September 2022, the movie has received a moderate reception from viewers. On IMDb, it holds a rating of 6.8/10 based on 951 votes, while on TMDB, it has a lower score of 5.4/10 from 34 votes.
