Short description

An unlikely friendship forms between 21 year-old Jane and the elderly Sadie after Jane discovers a hidden stash of money inside an object at Sadie's yard sale.

What's left behind the scenes

Besedka Johnson (who played Sadie) was discovered by executive producer Tsou Shi-Chin. They met in the locker room of the gym they both frequented. Johnson had dreamed of an acting career since the age of 15, and after 70 years, her dream came true. The role of Sadie was her first and last.
In the explicit scenes, porn star Zoe Voss stood in for Dree Hemingway.
Initially, director and screenwriter Sean Baker intended to cast Dakota Johnson with her grandmother, Tippi Hedren, but ultimately chose Dree Hemingway and Besedka Johnson.
Director and screenwriter Sean Baker was contacted by Dri Hemingway's manager via Skype, and the decision to approve Hemingway for the lead role was made within 20 minutes.
