High Forces

An international security expert named Gao Haojun must confront a group of hijackers after they seize control of a luxury A380 airliner during its first international flight. With over 800 passengers on board, the leader of the criminals, Mike, uses the captives as leverage. The conflict becomes personal for Gao Haojun, as both his daughter, Xiaojun, and his former wife, Fu Yuan, are trapped in the cabin.

The action crime film was directed by Oxide Pang Chun, following his previous work Flashover and preceding The Mage. The movie stars Andy Lau in the lead role, alongside Zhang Zifeng, Qu Chuxiao, and Liu Tao. The production involved several companies, including Tao Piao Piao and Weibo Corporation, and featured a credited cast of 60 people.

In terms of commercial performance, the film earned 42 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is mixed, with a rating of 5.8/10 on IMDb based on 730 votes and a slightly higher score of 6.1/10 on TMDB from 41 votes.
