Maria Montessori

Set in 1900, this historical drama follows Lili d’Alengy, a famous Parisian courtesan who travels to Rome to hide her daughter, who has learning difficulties. There, she meets Maria Montessori, a physician developing an innovative educational method for children with disabilities. While Lili seeks help for her daughter, Maria struggles with her own secret, having a son born outside of marriage. As the two women navigate a society dominated by men, they form a bond that helps them both confront their personal struggles and societal expectations.
