Bad City

In the crime-ridden Kaiko City, a corrupt businessman sets his sights on the mayor's office and begins removing rivals from a competing criminal organisation. A former police captain named Makoto Torada, imprisoned for murder, is quietly released and placed at the head of a secret task force whose aim is to bring the businessman down.

The film is directed by Kensuke Sonomura and written by its star, Hitoshi Ozawa, who plays Torada. It was Sonomura's first directorial credit and was followed by Ghost Killer in 2025. Ozawa leads a cast that also includes Akane Sakanoue, Katsuya, Masanori Mimoto, Tarô Suwa and Kentarō Shimazu, with 28 credited performers in total. Running 118 minutes, the Japanese production was made by Rights Cube, Solid Feature and Shibuya Productions.

Audience response has been moderate on both platforms where it is rated, with 6 out of 10 on IMDb from 612 votes and 6.9 out of 10 on TMDB from 89 votes. A critics' rating of 7 out of 10 from 13 reviews places it slightly above the IMDb audience figure.
