Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies

During the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln faces a threat that goes beyond the Confederate army. A force of the undead has appeared, and the president must deal with it while also working on the Gettysburg Address and trying to hold a divided nation together. He travels behind enemy lines to confront the walking dead, an enemy he considers more dangerous than the southern forces he is already fighting.

The film is a low-budget action horror production from The Asylum, released in 2012 and running about ninety minutes. It was directed by Richard Schenkman, who also wrote the screenplay and whose earlier work includes the science fiction drama The Man from Earth. Bill Oberst Jr. plays Abraham Lincoln, with Baby Norman as Mary Owens, Jason Vail as John Wilkinson, Jason Hughley as Wilson Brown, Don McGraw as General Stonewall Jackson and Chris Marrone as Garrett.

Audience response has been weak: on IMDb it holds a rating of 3.2 from roughly 4,400 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 3.7 from about 138 votes. The film came between Schenkman's The Man from Earth and Mischief Night in his directing credits, which also include I Spit on Your Grave III: Vengeance Is Mine, The Man from Earth: Holocene and Misfits.
