Michael Ballhaus (1935-2017) was a German cinematographer, known mostly for his work with influential directors such as Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Redford, Frank Oz, James L. Brooks, Barry Levinson, and his most common collaborator, Martin Scorsese.
