What's left behind the scenes
- The protagonist, Koichi Sakakibara, has a very ordinary Japanese first and last name. 'Sakaki' is a type of tea tree sacred to Shintoists, and 'bara' means field or plain. The name Koichi means 'constant'.
- The surname of the main character, Mei Misaki, is written as 'high cape,' and her first name, as she noted herself, means 'singing,' specifically the singing of birds.
