What's left behind the scenes
- Producer Jonathan Powell saw a photograph of Elizabeth Garvey on the wall of her agent's office, contacted her, and invited her to audition. At the audition the following day, she landed the role of Elizabeth Bennet.
- Each episode begins with a watercolor in the style of Thomas Rowlandson (1757–1827), the famous caricaturist and contemporary of Jane Austen.
