What's left behind the scenes
- The series tells the story of how a bachelor Lawrence Darrell (1912-1990) moves to the Greek island of Corfu with his mother, brothers, and sister. In reality, by 1935, Darrell was already living there with his first wife, Nancy Myers, and his relatives joined them. Darrell and Myers divorced in 1947.
