What's left behind the scenes
- The title of the series is an abbreviation of the term 'joshi rakugo,' meaning 'female comedians.' Rakugo is a traditional Japanese genre of comic performance where a storyteller in national dress sits on a mat and, using hand gestures, a fan, and a handkerchief, performs short sketches that always end with a dramatic pause and a 'punchline' final phrase.
