Hot Tamale

Hot Tamale follows Harlan Woodriff, a young man from a small town in Wyoming who leaves his mother's home and sets out for Los Angeles. The trip turns into something far different from the sightseeing he had in mind when a bag is planted on him and he becomes the target of gangsters. What begins as a simple journey develops into a tangle involving hired killers, jewel thieves, alluring women and a salsa band.

The 2006 action comedy was directed by Michael Damian, who wrote the screenplay with Janeen Damian; both also produced alongside Christopher Goodman. It was the first of the features Michael Damian directed, ahead of Flicka 2, A Princess for Christmas, Marley & Me: The Puppy Years, Flicka: Country Pride, High Strung and High Strung Free Dance. Randy Spelling plays Harlan, with Diora Baird, Jason Priestley, Carmen Electra, Mike Starr and James Best among the twenty credited cast members. The film runs 102 minutes.

Audience reactions are mixed: on IMDb it holds a rating of 5.5 from around 1,400 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 4.9 from a much smaller base of 35 votes.
