Mother's Day
Short description
Three brothers fleeing from a failed robbery seek refuge in the house where they grew up, only to discover that the property has been sold to new owners. The siblings take the residents and their guests hostage, leading to a violent confrontation. The situation escalates when the brothers' mother and sister join them, resulting in a struggle for survival as the dysfunctional family asserts control over the captives.
Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, this crime horror thriller was released in 2010. It follows his work on Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, and Repo! The Genetic Opera. What's left behind the scenes
- During the filming of one scene involving weapons, a police patrol mistook the actors for bank robbers, as an actual robbery had occurred near the set. The actors' vehicle was pulled over, and everyone was ordered to exit the car with their hands visible.
- The film is based on real events that took place in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Two brothers broke into a house where, as it turned out, the homeowner, his girlfriend, and several friends were present. The criminals robbed, raped, and tortured their victims before killing everyone except one.
