James Allen, a violent gangster known as Animal, is sent to a maximum security prison. While incarcerated, he encounters a revolutionary who alters his perspective and leads him toward reform. Upon his release, Allen discovers that his son, Darius, has grown up in the streets and embraced a life of crime and violence. The story follows the father's struggle to save his son from the criminal legacy he originally established and to protect his family from a dangerous environment.
