Resurrection

In Chicago, Detective John Prudhomme and his partner investigate a series of gruesome murders. A serial killer is targeting victims who share names with apostles, leaving behind mutilated bodies with missing limbs, biblical quotes, and numerical riddles. The killer's goal is to assemble a physical representation of the body of Christ in time for Easter. Despite the detective's efforts to stop the murderer, the perpetrator initially evades justice through a trial, allowing him to continue his crimes with greater caution.

Directed by Russell Mulcahy, this was the ninth of 14 films he directed, following Silent Trigger (1996) and preceding Resident Evil: Extinction (2007). The movie stars Christophe Lambert as Detective Prudhomme and Leland Orser as Detective Andrew Hollinsworth, with supporting roles played by Barbara Tyson, Jeff J.J. Authors, David Cronenberg, and Jayne Eastwood. Lambert also served as a producer and co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Mirman.

Produced by Interlight and Baldwin/Cohen Productions on a 10 million USD budget, the film received mixed reactions. It holds a rating of 7.3/10 on IMDb based on 71 votes and a 6.1/10 on TMDB from 318 votes. Film critics gave it a lower score of 4.8/10 based on 6 reviews.
