Jacqueline is a refugee from Liberia who arrives on a Greek island with no money. Once part of a wealthy family, she now struggles to survive by offering massages to tourists and occupying abandoned buildings. Her daily existence is haunted by the trauma of the violent revolution that forced her to flee her home. While navigating this difficult transition, she develops an unexpected friendship with Callie, a solitary American tour guide. Together, they find the strength to face the past and look toward a more stable future.

The film was directed by Anthony Chen, following his previous works Wet Season and The Breaking Ice.
