Self Reliance

Tommy is offered a million dollars to take part in a game in which hunters will try to kill him, and he believes he has found the way to survive it: the hunters can only strike when he is completely alone. The difficulty is that no one around him, neither friends nor family, accepts that the game is real, which leaves him hunting for company in unlikely places while he tries to last the distance. The film mixes comedy and thriller elements around a man whose ordinary life turns into a month-long escape.

Self Reliance is a 2024 American production directed and written by Jake Johnson, who also stars as Tommy and produced the film with Ali Bell and Joe Hardesty.
