Crossplot is a British action thriller about Gary Fenn, a London advertising executive who hires a Hungarian model named Marla Kogash for a campaign. What he does not know is that Marla has stumbled onto an assassination plot, and the people behind it want her silenced. Instead of remaining a working relationship, the job pulls Gary into the conspiracy: he becomes a suspect in the killers' eyes while trying to keep Marla and himself alive.
The film was directed by Alvin Rakoff, released in 1969 and marks his first feature in the chronological filmography that also includes Death Ship. Leigh Vance wrote the screenplay, and Roger Moore leads the cast as Gary Fenn, with Claudie Lange as Marla, Martha Hyer as Jo Grinling, Alexis Kanner as Tarquin, Derek Francis as Sir Charles Moberley and Ursula Howells as Maggi Thwaites among 43 credited performers. It was made by Bamore, Tribune Productions Inc. and Trojan Pictures on a budget of about 1 million dollars.
On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.4 from around 1,100 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.6 from 31 votes, suggesting a modest reception with limited audience engagement.
