The Hangover Part III

The Hangover Part III follows Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug after the death of Alan's father. Alan stops taking his medication and his behaviour becomes increasingly erratic, so his friends decide to take him to a clinic. The trip goes wrong, and Doug is taken by a criminal named Marshall who has an old score to settle with Mr. Chow. To get Doug back, the others have to find Chow first. The story moves between Los Angeles, Tijuana and Las Vegas, and there is no wedding or bachelor party this time.

Todd Phillips directed the film, his eighth, and wrote the screenplay with Craig Mazin and Scott Moore. It is the third entry in the series that began with The Hangover in 2009. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha return as the four friends, with Ken Jeong as Chow and John Goodman as Marshall. The production had a budget of 103 million US dollars and grossed 362 million worldwide. Ratings sit below those of the earlier films: 5.9 out of 10 on IMDb from 361,000 votes and 6.2 out of 10 on TMDB from 9,441 votes, while critics gave it 4.2 out of 10 across 199 reviews.
