What's left behind the scenes

The name and logo of the GNN channel were borrowed from a real news channel broadcasting in the Philippines.
Will Ferrell learned to ice skate before filming the Josh Gordon and Will Speck comedy "Blades of Glory" (2007).
Jim Carrey played one of the Canadian news anchors. The actor was born in Newmarket, in the Canadian province of Ontario.
In issues leading up to Halloween, Taste of Home and PIL magazines published recipes for bat wings. (In reality, they were chicken wings.)
Work on the sequel to the 2004 comedy "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" (Adam McKay) had been ongoing for several years, with Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carell agreeing to reduced fees for filming.
