Four friends start to receive morbid Valentine cards and realise they are being stalked by someone they had spurned 13 years ago. A masked killer is on the loose and Valentine's day is soon approaching.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Tara Reid, who had previously worked with Jamie Blanks in "Urban Legend", was originally cast as Dorothy, and Jennifer Love Hewitt was set to play Paige. However, after a change in producers and studios, Reid, Love Hewitt, and several other actors left the project.
  • All scenes with David Boreanaz were filmed in a week and a half.
  • Filming of the movie lasted 42 days.
  • Katherine Heigl had to film all of her scenes in just three days, as she was actively filming the third season of "Roswell" at the time, in which she played one of the main roles.
  • Katherine Heigl did not read the script before accepting the role. In 2005, she confessed in an interview with a magazine that she was greatly disappointed after watching "Valentine's Day" and regretted her involvement in it.
