Ikkis

Ikkis is a historical war drama that follows the life of Arun Khetarpal, a tank commander and the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, who died during the Battle of Basantar in 1971. The story contrasts his military service and final combat against superior forces with a journey taken by his father three decades later. The elder Khetarpal travels to Pakistan to visit his former school and childhood home in Sargodha, using the trip to reflect on the pointlessness of war.

The film was directed by Sriram Raghavan, following his previous work on Badlapur, Andhadhun, and Merry Christmas. Raghavan also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Pooja Ladha Surti and Arijit Biswas. Produced by Dinesh Vijan through Maddock Films, the movie features Agastya Nanda as Arun Khetarpal and Dharmendra as Brigadier Madan Lal Khetarpal.
