Love, Courage and the Battle of Bushy Run

Set in 1763 following the Seven Years War, this historical action film focuses on the tensions in the American Colonies after French forces departed the region. Fearing British retaliation, various indigenous tribes, led by the Ottawa Chief Pontiac, launch a series of brutal and unconventional attacks. The primary objective of these forces is Fort Pitt. To protect the hundreds of civilians and soldiers trapped inside the fort, Colonel Henry Bouquet leads a diverse group composed of American volunteers, Scottish Highlanders, and British troops. The narrative centers on the Battle of Bushy Run and its impact on global history.

The movie was co-directed by Dave Alan Johnson and Larry A. McLean. For Johnson and McLean, this was their first collaboration, followed by the 2025 film Love in the Clouds. The screenplay was written by Charlie Richards, who also served as a producer alongside the directors. The cast features Tom Connolly as Colonel Henry Bouquet, Rachele Schank as Anne Willing, and Adam Baldwin as General Jeffrey Amherst. Other roles are played by J. Michael Finley, Edward Gelhaus, and Jackson Hurst. Audience reception has been mixed, as reflected by a rating of 5.1/10 on IMDb based on 235 votes.
