I Love Boosters
Short description
I Love Boosters is a crime comedy and science fiction film about a professional shoplifting team called the Velvet Gang. Led by a woman named Corvette, the group targets a ruthless fashion mogul by stealing high-end clothing from her stores. They resell these items at lower prices to redistribute the fashion within their own community, a practice they refer to as fashion-forward philanthropy.
Written and directed by Boots Riley, this is the second feature film he has directed following Sorry to Bother You. What's left behind the scenes
- Panavision created special lenses for the shoot that combined the qualities of modern lenses (more light) and vintage ones (soft focus and enhanced color). According to Boots Riley, when an image becomes digitally sharp, color begins to lose its significance.
