Rocky Balboa

Rocky Balboa has long since left boxing behind and now runs a Philadelphia restaurant named after his late wife, Adrian, whose death still weighs on him. He rarely sees his son, and he passes his evenings telling old stories to customers. A televised simulation matching fighters from different eras gives Rocky a surprising win over current heavyweight champion Mason Dixon, and the attention that follows draws him back toward the sport.

Dixon, unable to find a worthy opponent, challenges the retired Balboa to an exhibition bout. Despite doubts from those around him, Rocky accepts and trains for a fight against a man decades younger, faster and stronger. Burt Young returns as his friend Paulie, with Geraldine Hughes as Marie and Milo Ventimiglia as Rocky's son. Antonio Tarver plays Dixon, and Tony Burton appears as Duke. Sylvester Stallone wrote the screenplay, produced and directed, reprising the role he originated; it is the sixth film he directed, after Rocky IV and before Rambo.

Released in 2006, the film earned about 156 million dollars worldwide against a 24 million dollar budget. On IMDb it holds 7.1 from roughly 242,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.9 from around 3,900.
