Eternity

Joan and Larry have been married for decades when they die within a short time of each other. They arrive in an afterlife that gives souls one week to settle on where, and with whom, they will spend eternity. Their plans for a shared hereafter are complicated by the discovery that Joan's first love, Luke, who died young, has been waiting for her for many years. Joan must weigh the life she built with Larry against the life she might have had with Luke.

Eternity is a comedy, drama and romance directed by David Freyne, who wrote the screenplay with Pat Cunnane. It is Freyne's third feature, following The Cured and Dating Amber, and was produced by Tim White and Trevor White for A24 and Star Thrower Entertainment. Elizabeth Olsen plays Joan, Miles Teller plays Larry, and Callum Turner plays Luke, with supporting turns from Da'Vine Joy Randolph, John Early and Barry Primus. Made for 12 million dollars, it took in 33 million worldwide, a solid return.
