Short description
The story of music legend Terri Hooley, a key figure in Belfast's punk rock scene. Hooley founded the Good Vibrations store from which a record label sprung, representing bands such as The Undertones, Rudi and The Outcasts.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Filming took place in Belfast, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
  • The real Terry Hooley appears in the film playing the accordion in a recording studio.
  • The film's executive producers were Scottish-Irish musicians from Snow Patrol – Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly, and Johnny Quinn. In Quinn's case, his involvement was in gratitude for Terry Hooley giving him a job years ago. Quinn and Hooley also played in the same band before Snow Patrol was formed.
  • The filmmakers were helped by Snow Patrol to gather 2000 people and fill Ulster Hall. The musicians announced on their website that they would play an acoustic concert for those who came dressed as 80s punk rockers.
