Flawless

Set in 1960s London, Flawless centres on Laura Quinn, an American executive at the London Diamond Corporation, the world's leading diamond dealer. Passed over for promotion by male superiors despite her dedication, she feels her career has stalled. Mr. Hobbs, a veteran night janitor at the same firm, is nearing retirement and believes the company has treated him unfairly. Together the two employees plot to rob their own employer's vaults, with Hobbs supplying the plan and Quinn the access and knowledge of the business. What begins as a carefully worked-out scheme grows more complicated as it proceeds.

The film was directed by Michael Radford, whose earlier features include Nineteen Eighty-Four, White Mischief, The Postman and The Merchant of Venice, and who went on to direct Elsa & Fred. Edward Anderson wrote the screenplay, and Demi Moore and Michael Caine lead the cast as Laura Quinn and Mr Hobbs, with Lambert Wilson, Nathaniel Parker, Shaughan Seymour and Nicholas Jones among the supporting players.

Made for a budget of about 20 million US dollars, the film took roughly 7 million dollars worldwide, a fraction of its cost. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.9 from 18 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.8 from 647 votes. A critics' rating of 6 out of 10 from 95 reviews places it somewhat below the audience scores recorded on TMDB, though close to the IMDb figure.
